At the Conference in Philadelphia the AZAD board voted to have a random drawing of two free memberships for one year per month starting November 1, 2004. The winners will be posted by the 15th of each month on the website. Winners will be current members of AZAD. No Board member, Standing Committee or Subcommittee member will be eligible for the drawing.
Why Join AZAD
If you are already a docent at a zoo or aquarium, we encourage you to join AZAD and join your fellow docents in learning more about what others are doing at their respective institutions.
AZAD membership falls into four (4) categories:
Active Docents
Inactive Docents
Associate Members
Organization Members.
Each AZAD member organization (zoo or aquarium) can send one delegate to represent that organization at the annual conference Delegates' Meeting. These delegates and the AZAD Executive Board members make up the voting body of AZAD. This body votes on bylaw changes, elects the new Executive Board and helps make decisions for the organization.
Benefits for individual membership include: an information network, a subscription to Symbiosis, continuing education workshops, regional conferences, AZAD merchandise and AZAD sponsored trips.
How to Join AZAD
Fill out the AZAD Individual Membership Form and return it to the indicated address with the membership fee.
Organizations may join or renew by filling out the AZAD Organization Membership Form and return it to the indicated address with the membership fee.
AZAD Membership brochure so you may print copies for your zoo.
